can you hear the countdown???

the connections with the local guys of my age had a premature end when i joined a boarding school in VI. we were allowed to go out only during holidays (but we had a generous 3 months vacation - 2 months summer holidays + 20 days for christmas + 10 days for onam). on the first sunday of every month, parents were allowed to visit their children. those sundays were sort of dream days - we could have all the eatables our parents used to bring.(slurp!!!). except for the holidays, the scool was our world. we were not allowed to leave the school premises even; though we used to take small small risks and adventure trips.

ok, the point is, the number of amigo's in the neighbourhood kept on decreasing since then. holidays were meant for visiting relatives and all. but then, holidays were happy days - we could be with our parents, sleep in our home... etc etc etc.

things have changed dramatically.

the so called holidays and study-leaves are kind of mock tests before the big examination. the countdown has begun for us to part. those of you who are in and around tvm may not feel the exact difference (i'm writing abt the poor jobless guys like me). there will be someone or the other near you - always. and whenever you feel lonely, you can walk a few metres to be with your dear friends. no you will never be alone, never. neither will you understand this grave damn feeling we poor dudes, who are far far away from everyone else, will have to face. we (atleast me the great) feel it during these small holidays itself... no one to talk to, no one to fight with.... and when we find that some1 is online, there is some relief... or when we ring some1 up - but ofcourse, it is temporary....
again we find that we are alone, all alone.

sure you tvm guys have never had such disturbing feelings.... i'm jealous of you.
